NikonToday, the new ZF silver model was released, and the “Advanced Appearance” personalization option was added, and it was confirmed that a new “Film Particle” function will be added through the firmware within the year. The new Nikon ZF silver model is scheduled to go on sale on September 26, and the price and package plan are subject to subsequent official announcements.
The silver version follows the chrome look and feel and delicate texture of the classic film press era, and the overall temperament is closer to Nikon’s old model. At the same time, three new colors have been added to the “Premium Appearance” skin: Cognac Brown (with embossed texture), Lake Green Blue (limited to direct channels) and Mist Rose Pink. It is worth mentioning that these three skins are not only used for the silver version, but also the existing ZF black body can be replaced, and players who like to toss the appearance can arrange all three routes at once: retro, fresh, and soft. The limited rules of Hulu Blue are relatively simple: only accept replacement applications in Nikon’s directly operated stores and official e-commerce channels.
In terms of functions, it is officially confirmed that the “Film Particle” firmware will be pushed in 2025: 3 levels of grain size, 6 levels of adjustable intensity, covering photo and video shooting, and can be used with color schemes in collaboration with Nikon and creators. For users who often go straight out and pursue a sense of atmosphere, this is equivalent to directly making the “film-flavored” color grading preset into the in-machine process, and the film output efficiency will be higher. Of course, the function is still in the development stage, and the final effect is subject to the official firmware.
